Ziplining in Cebu Island

Ziplining is one of the newest gimmicks in extreme recreation.  The passenger is harnessed to a cable as he zips from the starting point to the end line, akin to a bird skimming down to its prey.  This is one unique way of viewing the scenery in a different perspective.  If you haven’t tried ziplining yet, you may want to include this in your Cebu itinerary.  There are two popular ziplining centers in Cebu: one in Barangay Busay in Cebu City and another in Balamban called K33 Green Adventure.

The Busay ziplining center is the first in Cebu City, which features unique ziplining structures.  You’ll see bamboo implements erected along the pathway.  There is an entrance fee of 20 pesos person and a ziplining fee of 100 pesos per head.  The center itself features a stunning view of the busy Cebu City on one side and the picturesque greenery of Barangay Malbo on the other side.  Chat over a cup of coffee at the Kape Igso on the 2nd floor while admiring the surroundings.

The zipline at K33 Green Adventure features 300 meters of heart-stopping ziplining adventure.  It is named K33 Green Adventure because of its 33-kilometer distance from the city proper and because of the green Balamban mountains that you zip by beneath you.  The thought of a 300-meter cable might scare you but there’s no need to worry as the cable and all the structures are very sturdy and well maintained. There are fresh fruit shakes and sandwiches being served to chase down your adrenaline once you’ve gotten through it.  Have the ride of a lifetime at only 160 pesos per person.
